Prabhát Saḿgiita - Songs of the New Dawn - a collection of 5018 spirituality-related songs composed by Prabhát Ranjan Sarkar over the span of eight years (September 14th 1982 - October 20th 1990). Most of the songs of Prabhát Saḿgiita were composed in Bengali. Around fifty songs were composed in other languages that include English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Magaht, Maethili and Angika.

The tunes include a variety of forms and styles with elements spanning from classical to folk music. Prabhát Saḿgiita are an expression of supra-aesthetic science, encouraging the aspirant to transcend the boundaries of mundane life and become ensconced in the beauty of spiritual bliss. Sometimes a spiritual aspirant does not know how or with what words to express his feelings for God. Prabhát Saḿgiita help him in this. The songs contain a vast palette of feelings – love with all its shades, sadness, sorrow, hopelessness, and requests for help.

"One must understand that the lyrics of the songs are given by the spiritual Master and that behind each of these songs there is a certain idea. Both components are equally important - the idea and the words. The words carry a certain vibration because they are given by the spiritual Guru. And if we sing Prabhát Saḿgiita in the original language, we benefit from the power of the vibration that Guru put into the words. Naturally, many people don't know the language of these songs.
But, as I said, the message invested is also very important. Therefore, the meaning of the songs should be translated into a language understood by the spiritual disciple. It is better to read the translation before the song is sung, this will enhance its effect. Of course, the fullest effect the disciple will get if he learns the meaning of each word, and sings with a deep sense of understanding."
