Translation
I walk the path alone;
under no circumstance, do I falter.
I move ahead to his pull alone.
Leaving behind matters of the past,
I ever walk on to his song alone.
Alas, in the circumambulation of the mind’s Vraja*,
how many forms come, how many forms go!
Breaking the inebriation
and infatuation of their colors and forms,
I ever move towards him alone.
Picking out and discarding the thorns of the path,
filling everyone’s movement along the path with light,
thinking about everyone’s circumstance,
I mix myself {participate in} with everybody’s
life-experience with exquisitely sweet resonance
Translated from Bengali
*Here the composer refers to Vraja,
the childhood home of Krsna.
Joy abounded as Krsna played His flute and protected
His companions against any and all adversities.
