Translation
Come, O Vaeshákha, dispel lethargy.
Those who have been sleeping for age after age—
break their slumber.
Many years have gone by
[since] humans came to this earth.
They’ve shed many a tear down the cheek of time,
weeping even in their sleep.
Today the light-showering full-moon night has arrived.
The dawn of the new shows the way.
Death’s frown receded into the distance
and even the horizons smiled.
