Come, O Vaeshákha, dispel lethargy. Those who have been sleeping for age after age— break their slumber.
Many years have gone by [since] humans came to this earth. They’ve shed many a tear down the cheek of time, weeping even in their sleep.
Today the light-showering full-moon night has arrived. The dawn of the new shows the way. Death’s frown receded into the distance and even the horizons smiled.
